Cute Hospital Gowns, Oh My

This may sound vain, but in your multiple colliding thoughts of labor and seeing your own bundle of joy, tell the truth, you can't help but wonder how to look somewhat cute the day of delivery. Just think, of the visitors surrounding you and the countless pictures that will be snapped. I am sure to pack some lip gloss that will surely take care of dry lips, but what about the attire? Dear Johnies (www.dearjohnies.com) can take care of that situation, so you won't be stuck with the hospital gown. For a price of $65 the gown can be yours and the robe can be yours for $70. Happy styling!

Nesting Requires a Lot of Work!

Hello there! Please forgive me for my time away, I have been busy nesting to welcome the arrival of my beautiful baby. Putting together the nursery and the house is some serious work especially when you have an expanding bump in front of you. I constantly have to stop every half an hour, take a breather and continue again. Combine this with Braxton Hicks and it takes me twice as long to do everything. But, I find comfort in being fully organized and ready for the baby once it's all over, especially since she will take pretty much all of my time.

So, despite having my mind set on the Migi Sweet bedding collection I had to go with Migi's Posy line. The Sweet had that retro funkiness that I thought will give the room a boost, but since the room has come together quite a bit with pale pink, white, and accents of green; Posy is definitely the winner. Plus, the price is just up my alley with $179 for the six-piece set. Way to go Migi (www.migistyle.com), you rock for the budget conscious mamas out there!

Budget Conscious Curtains

The cost of curtains can add up, when decorating a room, especially when you want a full effect. I found these at Ikea for $19 for 2 panels. They have them in green, pink, and white.

Save or Splurge

Target has included Dwell in their baby products category. The prices are half the price of their higher end items. Can you tell which one is the higher end Dwell bedding for $420?

It Doesn't Hurt to Try

In a quest to avoid medication at all costs, Babes and I ventured into a tea shop. A couple months ago, I was told to stay away from teas with hibiscus because it tends to induce labor. Well, in about five weeks natural inducement won't be such a bad idea, considering many doctors will do it for you once you pass the 40 week mark. A customer in the store overheard me asking about teas for inducement and she chimed in with her experience. She said drinking raspberry tea and going outside during a full moon helped her tremendously. Again, I have no scientific evidence of this, but if our love child happens to be getting a little too comfy inside my womb past the 40 week mark I might be walking around the neighborhood with a cup of tea in hand!

Finally Found It!

You must be wondering what "it" I'm refering to in my title. After finding out I was having baby girl, I wanted the perfect artwork on the wall. As much as I love butterflies, they didn't tickle my fancy. I considered dragonflies, but then I unexpectedly drew inspiration from the paper store Papyrus' logo. Hummingbirds!!! It made perfect sense because (a) I secretly have hopes of moving to the Caribbean and (b) it just reminds me of paradise. However, I could never find anything that resembles a hummingbird, until now. Above you'll find a splendid piece of art for the price of $85 at www.craftsburykids.com.

How Chic Is This???

Okay...admitedly I don't gush over too many articles of clothing, but this definitely caught my attention. This Yukata receiving gown is so ideal for those first couple of months postpregnancy. It creates that pulled together look even when you're operating off of little to no sleep. It can be purchased at http://www.punknpie.net. Happy lounging!

Silhouette Images of Your Sweetie Pie

These are so reminiscent of the type of art I did in elementary school circa 1985. Yes, indeed along with the Ronald Reagan Just Say No To Drugs campaign, there were silhouettes of your children being toted home to adoring parants. I'm super-hyped about doing one for my baby after she's a certain age. Allpopart.com can provide you with your very own silhouette after you e-mail them your picture.
